Do I need any brewing experience to start?
No. Brewing Fundamentals is built for complete beginners. It starts with the science and the four ingredients and builds up from there. Many of our students had no brewing background at all.
How do I find the right course?
Open the courses page and filter by type (in person, online, study material, free or exam prep) and by subject. If you are still unsure, the course finder at the bottom of that page points you to a starting course.
Are the courses online or in person?
Both. Our 27 core courses run as live online sessions you can join from any city. In person, we run the 1-Day Super Intensive Craft Beer Course and the 1-Month Intensive Brewing Excellence Course in working microbreweries in Pune, Delhi, Gurugram and Bengaluru, plus tastings, a brewery business tour, home-visit brewing and last-minute WSET Level 1 Beer prep.
How much do the in-person courses cost?
The 1-day course costs ₹25,000 per student. The 1-month course costs ₹1,25,000 per student, with no taxes applicable. Meals, travel and accommodation are not included. Both prospectuses are on the courses page.
What happens in the 1-month course?
48 contact hours over four weeks: classes and online study, lab work and hands-on brewing in partner microbreweries. Week one covers brewing fundamentals, week two the brewhouse, week three fermentation and yeast and week four quality control and a complete brew of your own. Batches have at most 20 students.
What is the Brewing Fundamentals Study Book?
Study material, not a course. It is the full 1-month syllabus written up as 17 chapters of notes, each with key numbers, five check questions and a crossword, with every answer at the back. It costs ₹1,999.
How do I get the study book?
Choose Brewing Fundamentals Study Book on the enquiry form. Pay ₹1,999 and we email the PDF to you. It is for your own study, so please do not share or resell it.
What are the class sizes?
Small by design. Batches have at most 20 students, so every question gets answered and every batch gets tasted.
Do you help with WSET or Cicerone certification?
Yes. We prepare candidates for WSET and Cicerone exams in groups or one to one, including last-minute in-person prep for WSET Level 1 Beer. You sit the WSET exam itself through a WSET Approved Programme Provider.
How do I enrol and pay?
Pick a course and submit the enquiry form or WhatsApp us. We confirm dates and share payment details. Your seat is confirmed once payment is received. In-person courses are paid in full at sign-up.
What is your refund policy?
For online courses, see our Refund & Cancellation policy. Fees for the in-person 1-day and 1-month courses are not refundable, but you can transfer your seat to someone else with written notice and our approval. Tell us at least 14 days before the start date if you cannot attend.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Courses include a certificate of completion once you have attended at least 80% of sessions and handed in the assignments. The study book is study material and does not come with a certificate.
Can you teach a group or corporate session?
